Dear friends of Petlamb,

I would love to see you at the opening Vital Signs: Interpreting the Archive, curated by Angela Bailey and Nick Henderson from the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives.

Vital Signs :Interpreting the Archive is part of the cultural program of the AIDS 2014 International Conference happening from 20 to 25 July.

For the exhibition, six artists (Marcus Bunyan, Penny Byrne, Ray Cook, Deborah Kelly, Salote Tawale and myself) have been asked to interpret an aspect of the collection from the archive. I am lucky enough to be responding to a mix-tape made by David McDiarmid called Toxic Queen presents Funeral Hits of the 90s.

So come along to the opening (6pm Thursday 10 July, 2014) at Blindside. It will be great to see your there.

I am also a penelist for Queering the Archive on Saturday 12 July, 2.30-4pm. This panel discussion will discuss GLBTQI representation in collections and its interpretations. The other panelists are Susan Long and Nick Henderson. All welcome and hope to see you there.
