Greetings friends of Petlamb

Welcome to April's photo of the month — Water Damaged Pencil of Nature — Plate XVI.

This image from The Pencil of Nature depicts the cloisters of Lacock Abbey and is an exterior architectural image. There is a large climbing vine smothering the building, creating a dark area of negative space. In order to add colour interest and highlight it as a major compositional element, I filled the area with a bright blue and green gradient prior to water damaging.
