Greetings friends of Petlamb

I hope March’s photo of the month finds you well. It is an effaced watercolour called Effaced Watercolour — Portrait of a young girl by John Heaviside (Waterloo) Clark.

The original is a tiny watercolour sized at about 9 x 7 cm. Clark was most well known for his hand painted aquatints of Aboriginal Australians circa 1800. I don’t know much about him yet so some research on my behalf is needed.

I hope you enjoy the new work. It is part of my Effaced watercolour series where I am abstracting and rephotographing historical Australian watercolours.
